Adding The Yeast Way Too Early


I bought a homebrew kit for my dad and we made our second batch tonight. He added the liquid yeast way to early, like while the ingredients just finished boiling instead of after waiting for the temp to come down to 90 degrees like the instructions say. Is our batch ruined?


No, the batch isn’t ruined but your dad did manage to kill the yeast. You’ll need to re-pitch another dose of yeast and you should do it right away.
